Insurance and Financing in Gardena, CA

Sometimes it can be frustrating trying to understand your dental insurance plan and benefits. At Gardena Dental Care, we understand that and are ready to help you navigate the insurance system to get your dental treatment covered.

We get a lot of questions about insurance. These are the most common and the answers. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have a question that’s not answered below.

Do You Accept Dental Insurance?

Of course! Our practice accepts many different dental insurance plans, including all PPO plans. If we don’t accept your insurance, we can still treat you as a self-pay patient and you can file for reimbursement of an out-of-network claim. Our staff can walk you through this process.

How Much of My Treatment Will My Insurance Cover?

That depends on both the treatment you need and your insurance plan coverage. Every dental plan is different. Some cover the same procedure at different levels; for example, many plans pay 100% of the cost of a routine cleaning, but some only cover 80% of the cost.

The same is true of every other treatment you might need. One of the only forms of dental work that is usually not covered at all is cosmetic dental work, such as teeth whitening.

What Will I Have to Pay Out of Pocket?

The difference between what your insurance will pay, and the cost of the procedure is your out-of-pocket expense. The staff will determine your insurance coverage in advance of your procedure and explain what they will pay and what you’ll need to pay yourself beforehand.

For example, if you need a simple filling and your insurance will cover 80% of the cost, your portion will be the 20% that’s left. We’ll outline all of this in your treatment plan.

You’ll always know what your cost should be before your procedure. You don’t have to worry about expensive surprises!

Do You Offer Financing?

Absolutely. We understand that some expensive procedures aren’t covered by insurance at all or aren’t covered well and that this can be a strain on your personal finances. We’ll be happy to discuss financing options when we go over your treatment plan and insurance coverage if you would like.
