Of course! Our practice accepts many different dental insurance plans, including all PPO plans. If we don’t accept your insurance, we can still treat you as a self-pay patient and you can file for reimbursement of an out-of-network claim. Our staff can walk you through this process.
That depends on both the treatment you need and your insurance plan coverage. Every dental plan is different. Some cover the same procedure at different levels; for example, many plans pay 100% of the cost of a routine cleaning, but some only cover 80% of the cost.
The same is true of every other treatment you might need. One of the only forms of dental work that is usually not covered at all is cosmetic dental work, such as teeth whitening.
The difference between what your insurance will pay, and the cost of the procedure is your out-of-pocket expense. The staff will determine your insurance coverage in advance of your procedure and explain what they will pay and what you’ll need to pay yourself beforehand.
For example, if you need a simple filling and your insurance will cover 80% of the cost, your portion will be the 20% that’s left. We’ll outline all of this in your treatment plan.
